Long Ride - March 8

Its been a while that the R4Bs had a long ride together, not in perfect attendance but still good enough to be considered as a riding group.

The ride kicked off at Tiendesitas and passing through Ortigas extension picking-up the other boys and eventually completing the group.

The climb up Tikling was slow and easy which kept the group intact. One of the guests in the ride was late and didn't coordinate that he will be joining and we just received the information that he was just arrived in the area as well. The boys at the pack - which includes me had to wait for the tardy guy, which resulted to the group breaking up.

Afterwards, we chased the main group - catching in the winding section between the Morong and Teresa. From there we continued to ride as a group until we reached our destination - the area called Pisong Kape.

After a meal we headed straight back home. Going back, the group once again split into two - the stronger guys were in the main group while there were three boys at the chasing pack. The chasing pack included me where we just took our time and just had a relatively easy pace compared to the main pack. We had a quick sip of buko juice somewhere after the Pililla Municipal hall. The main group waited us in the area after the Morong Triangle.

Thats a long way to go
The whole group had a quick refill just before climbing Teresa. Climbing Teresa was pretty difficult since its been a long while since we climbed up here. One of the boys had difficulty adjusting to his new cassette, he just recently switched from 11-28 to 11-25. The group of course split again, which is usual in this section but we always make sure that we have a riding buddy since this area is quite notorious due to the juvenile delinquents known as the Hamog Boys.

From the leading pack, there was this guy - lets hide him under the name of VeggieMan who offered to stay with us at the back of the pack. He took some pictures of us and we told him its okay for him to go ahead. In a split of a second he was gone, he zoomed his way to the top like the climb was a long flat road. We weren't able to have a glimpse of him until we reach our usual rendezvous area.

Upon assembling in our designated rendezvous area, we split into two groups, those who will take Sumulong and those who will take Tikling going home. This concludes the group ride and we will have another one the coming weekend :)
