Baguio 21k
I have been running for about 6 months and I haven't been able to run in my home town. This was my first run in Baguio City, the city of pines and the summer capital. I have been a lone wolf in all of my runs, this is the first run where I am with a group.

The first half of the route was quite easy, a gradual increase and decrease of elevation. Moog was the starting point of the difficult part, Happy hollow isn't really a happy route, the downhill was quite difficult since the road is currently under deconstruction, where the road had large holes and a foot would fit into it. In this section of the route there was a spot where a magnificent view of the mountains and the forests. It was so beautiful, I actually forgot I was in a race and the fatigue faded for quite a while.
Holes on the road
Upon reaching the lowest part of the area, runners were stunned how steep the road leading towards country club was. All the runners around me, and of course including me, walked and crawled the steep road, no one dared to jog.

Reaching Baguio Country Club was a sign of relief! There would be no more deadly uphills like Happy Hallow. A smooth glide for the remaining part of the race, participants once again started to run/jog for the strong finish!

There were two runners who were in costume, a clown and a bird man. They one the best costume award of the race. Kenyans dominated the race, the champion finished the race in 1 hour and 13 mins, that is roughly about a pace of 3.5. Uphill races wont slow these guys down, their pace seems to be constant no matter how difficult the terrain is.
